we’d love to hear you play
Worship auditions
We're looking for musicians and singers who help our church meet God in worship. Here's how it works, and what we'd ask of you.
who we’re looking for
People with the skills, passion, heart, time and energy to serve the Lord and this church through worship and the arts.
Serving, loving and leading in our church is where the rubber meets the road. It’s where we learn to be givers in this life instead of takers.
Along with musicianship and a heart to serve, we’re looking for a stage presence that invites the congregation to worship.
Nervous about recording yourself? Everyone is. It gets easier the moment you press record the second time.
how to record it
It’s simpler than it sounds
Get two devices ready. One plays the backing track, the other records you. A laptop and a phone works perfectly.
Put the track in headphones. This is the one that matters. If the track plays out loud, we hear the record instead of you.
Frame yourself so we can see your hands. Hold the phone sideways. Singers, we want your face; players, your hands and your instrument.
Say hello first, then play. Ten seconds is plenty. Your name, what you play, and how long you’ve been at it.
Upload and send us the link. YouTube set to Unlisted, or Google Drive, or Dropbox. Name it “Your Name — KV Worship Audition”.
Before you hit send, check. Can you hear yourself clearly over the track? Is the video the right way up? And open your own link in a private window — if you can’t see it, neither can we.
